Colorado Mountain College students found dead in Chaffee County after weekend hike
Kaden Matsuda, 19, and Jackson Donlon, 20, were found dead on Wednesday afternoon in a basin of West Apostle Mountain in Chaffee County, Colorado. The two Colorado Mountain College Leadville students had gone missing after leaving campus on Friday for a planned climb of Ice Mountain. Authorities do not suspect foul play, and autopsies are pending to determine the cause of death. A multi-day search involving 60 volunteers, helicopters, and drones concluded after their collapsed tent was discovered near Lake Ann on Tuesday.
