Bethesda Reveals Fallout 76 Roadmap: World Pets, Hideouts, and Capital Wasteland Expansion

Bethesda Game Studios has outlined its development roadmap for Fallout 76 through Summer 2027. The studio confirmed that the 'World Pets' update will launch in December 2026, allowing C.A.M.P. pets to accompany players in combat. This will be followed by 'Hideouts' in Spring 2027, a new endgame feature, and a major map expansion called 'Raven Rock' in Summer 2027. Raven Rock will extend the game’s world into the Capital Wasteland, featuring a prequel story set 200 years before the events of Fallout 3.

Fallout 76 opens World Pets test server to let CAMP pets roam Appalachia

Bethesda launches a World Pets Public Test Server (Pspsps-TS) for Fallout 76, allowing players with Steam to trial traveling with CAMP pets. The first phase focuses on pet navigation with no combat, and pets can be summoned via a new Pip-Boy Stats tab. Pets cannot enter raids, shelters, or swim, and progress on the PTS won’t carry over to live game. A second Pspsps-TS phase will later test combat and the full update. The patch also includes extensive weapon, perk, and legendary-mod changes, with unique items gaining more customization. Note: C.A.M.P. building is temporarily disabled at the start of the PTS as fixes are tested.
