NAZA Tops Italian Box Office Amid Controversy Over Its Solely Israeli Perspective

The documentary 'NAZA,' which won a special prize at Venice, has debuted at number one in Italy, outperforming 'Avengers: Endgame Encore.' The film features anonymous interviews with 24 Israeli military personnel on Tel Aviv rooftops, detailing the surveillance and targeting systems used in Gaza. While it sparked outrage in Israel, including proposed legislation to strip the filmmakers' citizenship, critics debate whether the lack of Palestinian voices undermines its impact or serves as a necessary historical record of state violence.
