Police Department Goes All-In on Tesla Fleet for Patrols.

The South Pasadena Police Department in California will become the first police department in the US to convert its entire patrol fleet to electric vehicles, using 20 Tesla Model Y and Model 3 vehicles upfitted by Unplugged Performance. The department will use a grant to buy the vehicles and install charging stations. The move is expected to save the department significant resources and reduce harmful vehicle emissions to improve air quality for residents. Other police departments have reported savings of up to $80,000 over 10 years due to gas savings and lower maintenance costs.
