Multiple Stores Recall Frozen Fruit Products Due to Hepatitis A Contamination

The Scenic Fruit Company has issued a nationwide recall for some of its frozen fruit products sold at Costco, Trader Joe's, and other stores due to possible hepatitis A contamination. The recall includes frozen organic strawberries and a tropical blend sold under various brand names. While no illnesses have been reported, the FDA is urging consumers to return the products for a refund out of an abundance of caution. Hepatitis A is a contagious liver disease that can be contracted from contaminated food and can lead to severe illness and liver failure.
