Publix is expanding a recall of frozen berries sold in eight states, including South Carolina, after an FDA/CDC investigation linked E. coli O145 to GreenWise Organic Blueberries from Frutas y Hortalizas del Sur S.A. Consumers should discard or return affected products for a full refund. So far, 12 illnesses across two states (May 11–June 5) with four hospitalizations and no deaths have been reported.
