Texas egg recall: nearly 1.6 million dozen eggs pulled over salmonella risk

Nearly 1.6 million dozen white- and brown-shell eggs from Midwest Poultry Services in Texas are being recalled due to potential salmonella enteritidis contamination. Recalled cartons must show codes P-1950 or 0840962 with Julian dates 157–184. The eggs were sold at Kroger stores in Texas and Louisiana, Brookshire Grocery Co. stores across TX, OK, AR, LA, NM and MS, and shipped to foodservice/retailers in TX, OK, and LA.
