Pfizer's oral diabetes drug, danuglipron, has shown promising weight loss results in a mid-stage trial, with the highest doses significantly reducing body weight for patients at week 16 compared to the placebo. The results are similar to Novo Nordisk's Ozempic, which is being sold for diabetes and chronic weight management. Unlike Ozempic, Pfizer's candidate is a pill rather than an injection and can be taken at any time. Experts predict that Pfizer's oral candidate will be a "huge, huge drug."
