"Exploring Eli Lilly's Breakthroughs in Obesity and Heart Medications"

Eli Lilly's chief scientific officer, Dan Skovronsky, discussed the implications of Novo Nordisk's obesity drug Wegovy on the market for Lilly's own obesity drug, Zepbound, at the American Heart Association meeting. The study presented data on Wegovy's ability to prevent heart attacks, strokes, and deaths in overweight individuals with established cardiovascular disease. Skovronsky also talked about Lilly's partnership with gene editing firm Verve and the development of a new Lp(a) drug.
