"Berkeley Space Center: A $2 Billion Innovation Hub for Aviation and Space Technology"

The University of California, Berkeley, is partnering with NASA's Ames Research Center and developer SKS Partners to establish the Berkeley Space Center, an innovation hub for companies interested in collaborating with UC Berkeley and NASA scientists and engineers to develop futuristic advancements in aviation, space exploration, and living and working in space. The center will provide research space, state-of-the-art laboratories, and classrooms for UC Berkeley students, fostering collaboration between academia and the private sector. The goal is to create an ecosystem where Berkeley talent can work alongside NASA talent and leverage the resources of Silicon Valley to form future partnerships. The Berkeley Space Center aims to accommodate up to 1.4 million square feet of research space and could be ready for move-in by 2027.
