BYD Seal 08 roars into market with 65k orders in 30 hours and 694-hp AWD

BYD launched the Seal 08 flagship sedan at 196,900 yuan with 800-volt charging, DiSus-A air suspension and a 905 km CLTC range powered by a 694 hp dual-motor AWD that does 0–100 km/h in about 3.3 seconds. In just over 30 hours, cumulative orders reached roughly 65,000 (including 40k blind bookings since June 12 and 25k new orders), with most buyers choosing pure-electric variants while hybrids fill remaining demand. Production capacity sits at 8,000 vehicles per month, with double-shift runs and a 2–3 month wait for popular trims; BYD is expanding Blade battery lines to meet demand amid ongoing battery-supply constraints.
