North Texas Town Faces Up to 4 Hour Power Outage During Heat Wave

Tri-County Electric Cooperative has scheduled a planned outage for Wednesday, June 21 at 9 a.m. that will last up to four hours and impact approximately 70 members in the Bourland Field area, about 25 miles southwest of Fort Worth. The company says notifications went out last week about planned work on underground lines. The outage has left some customers worried about dealing with no electricity during the heat wave, with temperatures expected to reach dangerously hot conditions again on Wednesday.
