The full Strawberry Moon will be visible on the evening of June 3, 2023, going into the morning of June 4, 2023, in the UK and around the world. The best time to see it will be either just after moonrise at 9:01 pm BST on June 3 while the practically-full Moon is still low on the horizon, or when the Moon reaches peak illumination at 3:42 am, just before dawn on June 4. The Strawberry Moon is so-called because it heralds the time when wild strawberries are ripe for picking. It is not a supermoon, but the first supermoon of 2023 will be on August 1. Full Moons occur every 29.53 days, and we usually have 12 full Moons in a calendar year, but sometimes we get 13 full Moons in a year, which occurs around every 2-3 years.
