Chris Sanders in talks to reprise role as Stitch in live-action 'Lilo & Stitch' amidst controversy.

Chris Sanders, the writer and director of the original Lilo & Stitch, is in final negotiations to voice the character of Stitch in Disney's live-action remake. Tia Carrere, who originally voiced Nani, will play the newly-created Mrs. Kekoa, while Amy Hill will star as a new character named Tūtū. The remake will be directed by Dean Fleischer Camp and is intended to be a major release on Disney+. Production is officially underway in Hawaii.
