Busfield testifies before grand jury, rejects abuse claims as revenge scheme

Timothy Busfield testified before a 12-member grand jury in Albuquerque regarding four counts of criminal sexual contact of a child related to alleged on-set incidents during The Cleaning Lady production in New Mexico (2022–2024). He denies any improper contact, accusing the boys’ parents of coaching them and fabricating the allegations for revenge after his removal from the show; he says his career is effectively over. The indictment was returned Feb. 5. Busfield’s lawyers have filed a motion to quash, and a trial is set for May 2027. His wife, Melissa Gilbert, continues public-facing work with Modern Prairie and the Little House reboot.
