"Unlocking the Secrets to a Longer, Healthier Life: 8 Habits That Add Up to 24 Extra Years"

A recent study presented at the American Society for Nutrition's annual meeting found that incorporating eight healthy habits into your life at age 40 could add up to 24 years for men and 21 years for women. The habits include exercising, avoiding opioid addiction, not smoking, managing stress, following a healthy diet, not binge drinking, prioritizing good sleep, and maintaining positive social relationships. Even adopting just one of these habits could add 4.5 or 3.5 years to men and women's lives, respectively. The study, which analyzed the lifestyle choices of over 700,000 U.S. military veterans, also found that lack of physical activity, opioid use, and smoking had the biggest impact on lifespan.
