Ozempic Users Experience Stomach Paralysis: A Troubling Side Effect

Users of the weight loss drug Ozempic have reported distressing side effects, including stomach paralysis. Two patients experienced severe gastroparesis, or paralyzed stomachs, after using Ozempic for a year. Other users have reported major nausea and vomiting even after discontinuing the medication. The American Society of Anesthesiologists has warned that patients taking Ozempic and similar medications should stop at least a week before elective surgery due to the risk of regurgitation. Novo Nordisk, the parent company of Ozempic, claims that gastrointestinal side effects are common with GLP-1 receptor agonists. Gastroparesis has no cure and can lead to complications such as dehydration and malnutrition. Users are coming forward to warn others about the potential risks of the drug.
