Israeli AI Solution Shows Promise in Treating Crohn's Disease

Researchers at Sheba Medical Center in Israel have developed an artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm that can accurately predict the need for biological therapy in treating Crohn's disease (CD) by analyzing complete capsule endoscopy (CE) videos at initial diagnosis. The AI algorithm achieved 81% accuracy, surpassing the accuracy of gastroenterologists using traditional analysis methods. CD is a chronic condition characterized by inflammation in the digestive system, and the use of AI in clinical practice could improve patient outcomes and open new possibilities for diagnosis and treatment.
