Moderna's mRNA-3927, an investigational mRNA therapy for propionic acidemia, has shown early signs of potential clinical benefit with infrequent treatment-limiting side effects in phase 1/2 interim data published in Nature. The ongoing global clinical trial has demonstrated that mRNA-3927 has been well tolerated with no dose-limiting toxicities observed, and a reduction in the number of metabolic decompensation events (MDEs) was observed.
