AI-assisted Diagnosis: Revolutionizing Autism Detection, Study Finds

Researchers from Brazil, France, and Germany have proposed using artificial intelligence (AI) technology to help diagnose autism spectrum disorder. They trained a machine learning algorithm using magnetic resonance imaging data from 500 people, including over 240 diagnosed with autism. The algorithm achieved over 95% accuracy in determining brain alterations associated with autism. The methodology is still under development and will take years to implement, but it shows promise in providing a deeper understanding of autism.
