Multiple Women Accused of Assaulting Rep. Matt Gaetz at Florida Wine Festival

A Florida woman, Selena Jo Chambers, was arrested and charged with battery on an elected official after allegedly throwing a glass of wine at Rep. Matt Gaetz during the South Walton Beaches Wine and Food Festival. Gaetz claimed Chambers and another woman had been cursing at him and his family before the incident. Chambers told investigators she had been drinking and tripped, accidentally spilling the drink on Gaetz. Battery on an elected official is a felony, and Chambers was released on $1,000 bond.
