University of Florida Scientists Arrested for Locking Kids in Cages While at Work

Two biological scientists at the University of Florida have been arrested and charged with aggravated child abuse and child neglect after police discovered that they had been locking their young children in makeshift cages. The couple showed the cages to police officers "as if it were all normal." The children, aged 6 and 2, were kept in unsanded wooden enclosures and an overturned crib. The parents have been placed on administrative leave from the university.
