"Rare Bird Halts Bellagio Fountain Show in Las Vegas"
TL;DR
The Bellagio in Las Vegas paused its iconic fountain shows to accommodate a rare yellow-billed loon that sought refuge on Lake Bellagio, prompting a rescue effort by state wildlife officials. The bird, considered one of the 10 rarest birds breeding in the mainland U.S., attracted attention from concerned birders and wildlife authorities, who are monitoring the situation and hoping the bird will eventually move on to find a more suitable habitat.
