Juneteenth 2023: Openings and Closures Across the US

Juneteenth, which commemorates the end of slavery in the US, is observed on June 19 and is now a federal holiday. Almost 40% of US employers provide Juneteenth as a paid holiday. The United States Post Office will be closed, but UPS and FedEx will be operating as normal. Most major banks will be closed, but online banking services and ATMs will be available. Nasdaq and the New York Stock Exchange will not be trading. Federal offices and schools will also be closed, but whether government or state employees get a paid day off varies. Most major retailers and grocery stores will be open.
