Former PIX11 reporter Rebecca Solomon, along with her husband and 8-month-old baby, has been stranded in Israel since the devastating Hamas attack that pushed the country into war. Solomon recounted the terrifying experience of hearing sirens and witnessing rockets being intercepted by Israel's Iron Dome missile defense system. Over 700 Israelis have been killed, with dozens more kidnapped, while Gaza health officials report at least 300 Palestinians have been killed. Solomon and her family were fortunately able to secure a flight back to New York, but she expressed her desire to return to Israel when the situation improves.
