Israeli Envoy Confronts UN Official Over Hamas Hostages

Israeli Ambassador to the UN, Gilad Erdan, has cut ties with UN special coordinator for the Middle East, Tor Wennesland, after the latter met with the Iranian Foreign Minister without condemning Iran's role in the massacre of Israeli women and children. Erdan accused the UN of supporting and legitimizing genocidal terrorists and criticized its indifference to the murder of Israelis. He also denounced the UN's stance on the crisis with Hamas, stating that it does not want Israel to defend itself. Israel and the US have not directly accused Iran of being behind the recent Hamas-led attack, but Hamas is known to be funded and supported by Iran.
