US Deploys Second Submarine to South Korea as North Korea Tensions Escalate

A second U.S. nuclear-powered submarine, the USS Annapolis, has arrived in South Korea, following the recent visit of the USS Kentucky, the first U.S. nuclear-armed ballistic missile submarine to make port in the country in four decades. The arrival of these submarines aims to boost American strategic assets and deter North Korea.
