Family Sues Racket Maker After Badminton Shaft Fatality in Maine

A New Jersey family is suing Franklin Sports after 6-year-old Lucy Morgan died when a badminton racket's metal shaft dislodged and pierced her skull during a Maine vacation; the wrongful-death and product-liability suit alleges a defective racket, inadequate securing and warning, and seeks compensatory and punitive damages and funeral costs.
