"Rising Toll: Middle East Drone Attacks Leave 46 Troops Injured"

The number of American troops injured in drone attacks on bases in Iraq and Syria on October 17 and 18 has risen to 46, more than double the initial count of 21. While the injuries are considered minor and the troops returned to duty soon after, reports of traumatic brain injury may surface later. The total number of attacks since October 17 has reached 38, with eight occurring over the weekend. Defense officials have warned of increasing attacks on troops in the Middle East, but have not directly linked them to U.S. support of Israel. The Pentagon has responded by ordering strikes on Iran-backed militia facilities and deploying additional troops for force protection.
