Fort Lauderdale Floods: Recovery and Insurance Updates

Fort Lauderdale, Florida is still facing dangers from high waters after monumental flooding inundated the coastal area with hurricane-esque rainfall earlier this week. Authorities have deployed 34 pumping trucks across the city and set up water distribution stations, warning residents to avoid floodwaters that could contain downed power lines, contaminants, debris, rodents, and snakes. No deaths have been reported, but the fire department responded to more than 250 calls for help on Thursday. Recovery efforts have been set back by additional rain, but the city is slowly returning to normal.
