Tarantula Mating Season Brings Out Spiders in Texas
TL;DR
Tarantulas in Central Texas are harmless and are out looking for a mate during the summer. They have mild venom and can barely see, using nerves at the bottom of their feet to get around. If a pet messes with a tarantula, bring it to the vet to check for an allergic reaction.
