DeSantis's Super PAC and Trump PACs Burn Through Millions in 2024 Strategy

Governor Ron DeSantis's super PAC, Never Back Down, has spent nearly $34 million on voter outreach, advertising, polling, and consultants as his poll numbers have declined. Despite having a significant cash reserve of nearly $97 million, some top Republican donors have started distancing themselves from DeSantis. The super PAC has taken over almost every aspect of DeSantis's campaign, including organizing events, running a bus tour, and paying people to canvass voters. However, it remains uncertain if DeSantis's allies can sustain this level of spending. The super PAC has received donations from a few wealthy Republicans, and more than half of its spending has been routed through entities connected to its chief strategist, Jeff Roe.
