Justice Alito Faces Backlash Over Flag Controversy Amid Calls for Recusal
TL;DR
Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito faces calls for recusal from Trump-related cases and mounting criticism after reports of an upside-down American flag, a symbol associated with the January 6th insurrection, flying outside his home. Alito claims his wife hung the flag in response to a neighbor's insults. Critics argue this undermines judicial impartiality and ethics, prompting demands for congressional investigation and potential reforms to Supreme Court appointments.
