"Marjorie Taylor Greene Sparks Chaos with GOP Departures and Speaker Ousting Motion"
TL;DR
Marjorie Taylor Greene demands the expulsion of Republican representative Mike Gallagher from Congress after he announced his resignation, stating that his departure puts the Republican majority at risk. Gallagher's resignation will leave his seat vacant until the general election in November, further pressuring House Republicans who already have a narrow majority. Greene's call for expulsion comes amid concerns about the GOP's ability to pass legislation in the chamber and follows Gallagher's vote against impeaching the Secretary of Homeland Security.
