US designates three far-left networks as terrorist groups, targeting Palestine Action and allies

The U.S. Treasury’s OFAC designated three far-left international groups—Autistici Inventati (Italy), Palestine Action (UK), and Masar Badil (Spain)—as terrorist networks, freezing their assets and barring U.S. financial activity. Masar Badil is described as a front for the Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network and linked to the PFLP. The move, part of a broader interagency push against far-left extremism, drew responses from activists who say sanctions won’t silence resistance and from officials who say such groups pose a real threat to public safety.
