Boerne Declared in Flash Flood Emergency as South Kendall Faces Rising Waters

The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Emergency for Boerne and southern Kendall County through 8:15 p.m. after heavy rains caused widespread flooding, road closures (River Road and Main Street) and multiple rescues. A temporary shelter was set up at the Boerne ISD Central Offices (235 Johns Road, enter via Lohmann Street). Residents are urged to seek higher ground, avoid flooded roadways, and heed warnings as the situation remains life-threatening through the afternoon.
