California Braces for Widespread Flooding as Storm Looms

A storm with an atmospheric river is bringing moderate rainfall to California, particularly in the northern part of the state and along the Central Coast. By the weekend, coastal cities like San Francisco and Los Angeles are expected to receive two to four inches of rainfall, while foothills and mountains may see totals ranging from four to eight inches. The National Weather Service has recorded 24-hour rainfall totals across various locations in California, with flash flooding possible in narrow canyons, gullies, and areas affected by fire burn scars. A Flood Advisory has been issued for the Central Coast.
