Connecticut Braces for Bitter Cold and Snowy Weekend Ahead

The National Weather Service has updated its snowfall projection map for Connecticut and Massachusetts, with a widespread 1 to 2 inches of accumulation expected in both states. Some areas in northern Connecticut and central, western, and northeastern Massachusetts have seen downgraded accumulation totals. The snowfall is expected to arrive in the Northeast from the south on Friday morning and continue throughout the day, with temperatures around 30 degrees. The weekend will be dry and cold with partly sunny skies on Saturday and a mix of sun and clouds on Sunday.
