Hurricane Marie: SoCal gets rain and high surf as it weakens

Remnants of Hurricane Marie are weakening offshore but will bring rain to Southern California on Sunday, with most areas seeing light showers (about a quarter inch or less) and higher amounts possible in mountain foothills; a 15% chance of afternoon thunderstorms and a low risk of minor flooding. A high surf advisory and dangerous rip currents will affect beaches through Tuesday, so swimmers should stay near lifeguards and avoid rocky areas.
