Midwest Severe Weather: Multiple Tornado Touchdowns and Heavy Damage Reported

Severe weather outbreak in the Chicago area brought reports of as many as five tornadoes, with teams from the National Weather Service expected to survey damage and finalize reports in the coming days. The storms also produced large hail, heavy lightning, and wind damage, with some of the greatest impact seen in Geneva and Barrington. Tornado touchdowns were reported in various locations, including Sugar Grove, Big Rock, Inverness, Schaumburg, and Waterman. Additionally, ComEd is working to repair power outages affecting over 900 people in several suburbs.
