Midwest Storms Leave Widespread Damage, No Fatalities Reported

A burst of damaging winds and reported tornadoes swept across Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota, ripping roofs, uprooting trees and blocking rural roads. While widespread damage was reported, no deaths were confirmed, and officials warned residents to expect a long recovery as the National Weather Service conducts surveys to confirm tornado activity.
