More than 15 million residents in Texas are under some kind of warning as severe storms threaten the state with possible tornadoes, damaging winds, and hail. A tornado watch and severe thunderstorm watch are in effect for parts of the Dallas area until 8 p.m. CDT. The primary concerns are hail and damaging wind gusts, with wind gusts potentially reaching more than 70 mph. A tornado warning was issued for Hamilton County, Texas, which included communities west of Waco.
