Mississippi River floods, Florida and Texas brace for severe storms.

Major flooding is occurring along the Mississippi River from Minneapolis to Davenport, with some areas expected to reach the highest river flooding levels in 20 years. Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds has issued a disaster proclamation for 10 counties in the state. Frost and freeze alerts are in effect across eight states, and severe storms capable of hail and damaging wind gusts may develop in Florida and Texas. An area from Dallas to Austin and San Antonio is at risk for damaging winds, hail, and possible tornadoes.
