Severe Storms Threaten Midwest This Weekend

Strong to severe storms are possible for the Omaha area early Saturday morning, with severe storms likely developing in western Nebraska Friday afternoon and evening and then rolling east as a line across Nebraska overnight. If the line can hold together, the Omaha metro could deal with strong wind gusts and heavy rain between 5 a.m. and 9 a.m. Saturday. There's a better chance for severe weather in the Norfolk and Columbus area after midnight, and strong to severe storms are also possible Saturday afternoon and evening, mainly in Iowa.
