Severe thunderstorms are expected to hit North and Central Texas on Wednesday, bringing with them the possibility of localized flooding, large hail, strong winds, and the threat of tornadoes. The time frame with the greatest potential for severe weather is 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures are expected to drop to the high 50s by Wednesday morning, and storms should clear up by Thursday before a cold front pushes through the region Friday likely bringing additional thunderstorms but not widespread severe weather.
