Severe Storms Trigger Flash Flooding and Tornado Warnings in Southern Regions

Flash flooding has been reported in parts of the South, including New Orleans and the Florida Panhandle, as heavy rainfall drenches the Gulf Coast. While the storms are providing relief to areas suffering from drought, they have also caused concerns of flooding. Tornado warnings were issued in Florida, but only one funnel cloud report was received. The threat of flooding and severe weather will decrease on Sunday, but wet conditions are expected to persist in coastal areas of the South.
