Severe Thunderstorm and Flash Flood Warnings Sweep Through Mid-Atlantic Region

Severe thunderstorm and flood watches are in effect in Maryland as storms move through the area, bringing heavy downpours and the potential for damaging winds, flash flooding, and small hail. The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch from noon until 10 p.m., and a Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 8 p.m. The storms are expected to clear the Baltimore metro by the evening and move towards the Eastern Shore. Scattered chances for rain are also expected on Monday.
