Severe weather warnings issued for Chicago and North Texas.

Strong thunderstorms hit Chicago area with several storm warnings in effect, including a Tornado Warning that expired for DeKalb. A Severe Thunderstorm Warning was issued for Kane County, and a Thunderstorm warning is in effect for Lake and Porter counties in northwest Indiana. The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect until 11 a.m. for several counties in Illinois and Indiana. The main risk from the storms will come from strong winds and large hail, with a risk of tornadoes as well. The storms have produced winds over 60 miles-per-hour.
