TL;DR
Northern California woke up to smoke across the Valley floor, with unhealthy air quality in Sacramento and surrounding areas. The smoke is expected to thin out as afternoon winds shift, with hazy sun and heat peaking in the 97 to 101 range. The strongest winds will be in the western Sacramento Valley, gusting up to 25 to 30 mph. Skies will clear and winds will ease by tonight.
