Southern California water restrictions lifted after storms and floods.

The 11th atmospheric river in California brought flooding, landslides, and toppled trees to the southern part of the state, but also brought drought-busting rainfall that ended water restrictions for nearly 7 million people. The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California imposed the restrictions last year during a severe shortage of state water supplies. The storm caused additional evacuations and power outages, and some Southern California beaches were closed due to sewage overflow. Despite the end of water restrictions, officials urge continued water conservation as the state could potentially see a 12th atmospheric river next week.
